Now when I turn my computer on it seems to do a scan of the 'E' drive (my CD drive) and then brings me to the desktop and then freezes. My monitor keeps going black on me. About 1 1/2 months ago, when I booted up my computer, I could not see the Bios operating when booting up. Nothing. It shows a screen that looks almost like an MS-DOS screen, with a blinking cursor at the top left corner of the screen. After about 3 seconds of that, it then goes to the Windows desktop and lets me use my computer normally. I have a Daewoo monitor (about 4 years old) and my video card is Cirrus Logic 5446 PCI.
